Ballpoints
BALLPOINT Here you will find our selection of ballpoint pens. A ballpoint pen is equipped with a bullet between about 0.5 – 1 mm and a container of viscous and fast-drying ink paste. The Ball surface is filled with small pits that capture ink paste and transports it from the refill to the paper. The first functioning ballpoint pen made by Hungarian journalist László Bíró 1938 after he noticed that the ink in the newspapers is not smeared as usual ink, and began experimenting with using it in a pen.
Mechanical pencils
Mechanical Pencil A mechanical pencil is a pencil containing solve pencil leads fed up with either a push mechanism or swivel mechanism. The pins typically have a thickness of 0.5 to 0.9 mm and are made of graphite powder mixed with a clay. The more graphite that is in the diocese, the softer it becomes, and vice versa. The first mechanical pencil was invented in 1914 and is usually attributed to American Charles R. Keeran, but the fact is that Japan named Tokuji Hayakawa developed the same technology basically simultaneously.
Touch pens
TOUCH PENS Touch Pens or styluses as they are also called, is a relatively new phenomenon. They used to write and navigate on touch screens. For the pen to work, the screen is capacitive, which means that it has a weak charge affected when touched by a conductive object such as a finger or a touch pen.
Fountain pens
Fountain pen A fountain pen contains a viscous ink that is transported to the paper via a so-called ”nib”. For the most used replaceable plastrefiller but with a converter, you can also write with liquid ink from the bottle. The function is based on the same principle as the quills that has existed only since the 300’s, but today’s fountain pens based on technology from the late 1800s.
Rollerballs
Rollerballs A rollerball uses the same technology as a standard ballpoint pen, but contains a more fluid ink. The ink, which is mostly water or gel based, are more susceptible to dehydration than usual ballpoint ink and that is why rollerballs almost always have cap instead of pushing or turning mechanism. Rollerball ink is absorbed by the paper to a greater extent than usual ink which gives a very smooth and effortless typing experience.

MARKERS Markers are very useful if you need to remember something. It is easy to highlight an interesting part of a book or to just leave a reminder to yourself or somebody else. The possibilities for the use are nearly unlimited. Depending on where you would like to use the pens, it is important to choose between permanent and non-permanent markers.

Friendly Markers
Friendly Markers are our own highlighters which are being produced in the factory in Filipstad (Sweden). The series consists of nonpermanent and permanent highlighters and whiteboardpens. They are environmentfriendly. The plastic we use is environmentfriendly and the body of the pen is made of recycled carton.
Sheaffer
1912 Walter A. Sheaffer invested his life savings and founded ”The WA Sheaffer Pen Company” in Ford Madison, Iowa. In the beginning, the company manufactured only fountain pens and the products quickly gained a good reputation thanks to its high usability. Today the range also includes a series of popular ball point pens and roller balls.
Cross
Cross is America’s oldest manufacturer of exclusive pens. The company was founded in 1846 by Richard Cross and Edward W. Bradbury. Initially the company produced only boxes to fancy pens, but production soon went over to manufacturing pencils. Cross Classic Century has become one of the world’s most recognized pencil silhouettes, and the company has been the official supplier of pens to the White House for quite some time now.
Staedtler
Staedtler is one of Germany’s oldest pencil companies and can be traced back to the 1600s. However the company was founded not until 1835 when Johann Sebastian Staedtler, who learned the profession from his father, decided to turn the small-scale production into a more extensive operation. Today Staedtler carries a wide range of pencils, watercolor pencils, markers and other art supplies.
